Workshop – Creating A Meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Volunteerism at Workplace

 
This workshop aims to share why companies should consider developing CSR (corporate social responsibility) projects, as part of the overall effort to provide meaningful (and hence happy) work environment for its employees. As Singapore moves towards a more affluent society, having purpose-driven careers has become an expectation, especially among the young employees.  We will also share examples of the various types of CSR projects which companies could consider, and where their employees could volunteer

Workshop Objectives (Half day, 3 hours)
 
1.  Get an overview of what social entrepreneurship is all about, and why companies should consider embarking on meaningful CSR projects, which tap on their expertise and resources.

2.  Learn from examples of meaningful CSR projects – related to environmental sustainability, healthcare, disabilities (physical and intellectual), education and the elderly.  

3.  Learn basic functions of social media (i.e. using LinkedIn) to get connected with the social sector (charities, volunteer welfare organizations, non-profit organizations and social enterprises). 

4.  How to get involved with a globally connected group, and do community (or CSR) projects
